2012
If you live around Northern NSW and Queesland keep your eye out for SACOA LURE H2O trailer, if you see it about you will know that the SACOA team are out in the field again establishing more trial sits, for at SACOA we like to lead the adjuvant industry by results driven technical field data.

2011 Review
LURE H2O performed very well in last year’s dry conditions providing clear visual evidence of its impact. With good rainfall and plant establishment thus far we are only seeing clear visual differences in outlier circumstances such as extremely hard to wet soils and where rainfall has been less prevalent.
But the real story is under the surface.

Data from permanent soil moisture probe (as at late July) show that it required over 40 days and 105mm of rain for the UTC (Untreated Control) to ‘catch up’ to the LURE H2O treated soil in terms of soil moisture content. The benefits derived from this early additional moisture can be critical, particularly in terms of weed control and plant establishment.
Looking Forward
A key focus will be on results over the spring period where extended dry periods are expected and questions relating to the benefit of early weed control, improved root system development and reducing dry period stress can be answered by the research.
SACOA will continue to report on these results over the course of the 2011 season.
